Easy meal Декември 23, 2008 R. Linger (Seattle, WA USA) The preparation couldn't be simpler, good to have on hand for a quick meal. Only concern is amount of packaging involved but at least bowl and lid are biodegradable.
Good & Filling....Also Eco Friendly Декември 11, 2008 Alicia Alvarez (Rio Linda CA) This soup was good, but nothing could replace fresh miso from a japanese restaurant. This came close though......I was won over by the convenience of just reaching in your pantry. It comes packaged with care, nicely and neatly presented (Makes you feel like your having a real treat) even has a lid to conserve leftovers. The bowls and lids are not plastic and are biodegradable. (STURDY ! I have even re-used them to store food and pack snacks.) Apart from the Miso, I also recommend the Teriyaki Noodle bowl by Annie Chun's. It is a real filling meal, and I add quickly stir fried veggies and a few ounces of meat and LOVE IT.
Yummy Udon Soup Декември 5, 2008 Cari D (Baltimore, MD) I initially got hooked on Annie Chun's at my local grocery store. Unfortunately, they sell these soups at ~$5 a piece, so Amazon (or Trader Joe's) offers a much better deal. I enjoyed the udon soup because of the chunky noodles. If you have tried the miso soup, the udon soup's broth I think is stronger in flavor in comparison. I also love that the bowl is biodegradable; though the packaging for the soup base and toppings are not. If you feel like the noodles are not tender enough, just microwave for an extra 30 seconds to soften them up. Bon appetit!
Much better than ramen Ноември 30, 2008 Nathan Beauchamp (Oak Park, IL USA) There are a few staples for most office worker, and some sort of easy to heat soup is one of them. Unfortunately, most soup cups are pretty poor; either terrible for you or they taste like paste. Annie Chun's is an exception. The noodles are great by comparison to Ramen noodles. They have a nicer consistency and flavor, and are thicker by comparison. Another plus is that the soup doesn't contain nearly as much sodium as Ramen, meaning it is quite a bit healthier. The miso soup variety is my wife's favorite. I enjoy it as well, but not as much as the not-and-sour variety.
Not excited about this! Ноември 13, 2008 Rizzo (Denver, CO) 1 от 1 намериха ревюто за полезно
This soup has two specific directions for cooking, with microwave or without microwave. Although the directions for preparing are rather simple, dealing with it was not easy. I cooked it in the microwave, and the bowl, if very hot, is rather cumbersome to hold onto. Draining it is a problem, and you may need protection. The bowl of soup nutrition facts claim 200 calories, total fat 2.5, and Ogm of saturated or trans fat. Sodium is high, 440 it contains 38gm of carbohydrate. I purchased it for the lack of fat. You can add chicken, tofu, stir fried vegetables, and fresh chopped vegetables. Keep in mind that the meal comes with a small packet of dried tofu, carrots and spinach topping. The vegetable packet consists of very small pieces, and dry and dehydrated! Not very appetizing. There is an odd flavor and consistency with the noodles, and the sauce was not all that tasty or flavorful! First impressions are critical, and I'm not sure I would try other Annie Chun's dishes, and I will not crave the Teriyaki Noodle Bowl. ....Rizzo
