Chi Original 1" Farouk CHI Ceramic Flat Iron Model GF-1001 The CHI can be considered one of the most versatile Hairstyling Irons on the market today. The CHI's ergonomic design allows the user to flip hair up or curl it under with a twist of the wrist. The CHI is ideal for straightening and smoothing the hair while the ceramic plates seal in natural moisture. It's great to use prior to a Dry Haircut. The ceramic coated paddles help prevent scorching hair color and helps reduce styling product build-up. Featuring an extra long swivel cord to prevent tangling, the CHI has a concealed on-off switch inside the handle to prevent accidentally turning the unit off when in use. The heat paddles are recessed from the edges to prevent skin burns. Will automatically heat up in less than 10 seconds. Temperature is preset at 150-180 degrees Celsius(302-356 degrees Fahrenheit)

DO NOT BUY THIS!!! I bought mine less than a year ago and after using it about 20 times total the part you plug into the wall broke!!! I cared for this iron very well and now when I plug it in one of the silver ports is very wobbly and will not recieve a charge from the outlet. Also a huge chunk of plastic broke off next to the silver port so now the inside is all exposed. For years I bought cheap curling and flat irons from Sally's and other beauty supply stores AND NEVER EXPERIENCED THIS EVER!!!! I am sooo disapointed my $80 flat iron is ruined!!!! Don't do it!!! I got this off Amazon and i heard the warranty is void b/c of that!!!!

I could not believe the difference. This flat iron works so much better than cheaper models. My hair is shinier and softer and this does not dry out my hair. Great transaction.

I love this straightening iron. My own hair is straight as an arrow, but for personal reasons, I've taken to wearing wigs quite often and the hair is not always as easy to manage as my own. Often, it's knotty or gets frizzy at the slight touch of humidity. That's where the CHI comes in. Within a couple minutes, the CHI is heated up and ready to go and I can quickly re-style my wigs or my own hair and have it beautiful and salon-finished at the drop of a hat.
I was expecting some sort of a knob to put the iron at different heat settings, but there was only an on/off switch. Nevertheless, the CHI has never gotten too hot to burn my hair (a big consideration, since I paid about $1000 for my wigs) yet has always gotten hot enough to get the straightening results I needed. I also use it to curl the hair slightly at the ends and have now done away with my curling iron as well! So happy for this product!

I love this flat iron! Ive used so many types of brands and this is by far my favorite one. It leaves my hair silky smooth and shiny! My hair is very curly and once Im done using this product my hair is straight and no one would even know that I have curly frizzy hair. I recommend this product to everyone!
