I love a product that is functional and solves a problem. It is a real space saver. This is a good start on my garage cleaning adventure! Only negative, a small child couldn't lift a bike to use The Claw.

We have a lot of bikes in out garage and a few of them are positioned on hooks that are a bit tricky to get to. So I thought this would be easier to get a bike up and down without the help of my husband.
This is a sturdy device, wasn't hard for the husband to install. It is a quick catch and release. That said, it's no easier for me to use than a regular bike hook. Maybe it's simply that bikes are a tad heavy to lift up over my head anyway.
Not a bad idea--just not the solution I was seeking.

I mounted this device to the ceiling in my garage in just a few minutes, and it works wonderfully! I use mine to hang a bicycle, which keeps the floor space in my garage open for other things. I found the grab and release mechanism on this device to be very ingenious and mine works great. I recommend this to anyone who wants to hang something heavy like a bicycle (just remember you have to be strong enough to lift a bicycle over your head!).

I was initially delighted to get this hanger for my bike. It is quite well made, cleverly designed, and easy to install. The arms close around the wheel as you push the wheel against the pad, then open - and stay open - when you push the wheel up a 2nd time. So it's an easy device to use and works well.
However... we (there were three of us) had a hook to hook runoff between the Gladiator and a cheapo plastic coated metal hook I bought at Ace Hardware for about two bucks. We all preferred the Ace Hardware hook! It was just simpler to use, worked just as well, and took up less space.

My husband bikes everyday so it was about time for an upgrade to our low-tech system of bike storage and get something that protected his bike a bit and was easy to stow and retrieve the bike.
This system was easy for him to install, just 4 bolts and then to stow the bike you just push against the disk to open and push against it to close. Easy. It is a simple system but one that seems to work well.
The construction is sturdy and we are now thinking of purchasing an additional claw for my bike as well.
If you need to clear the clutter and protect your bike, this system simply works.
