Comfy & secure mobility Януари 6, 2009 katshan (Nashville, IN USA) Gave this Moby wrap as a gift and was very impressed with it once it was unwrapped and put into use. It's a great way to take your baby with you if you also want the benefit of having your hands and arms free. The Moby Wrap securely holds the baby close to your body with no fear of slippage or the wrap coming undone. The Moby wrap also does the weight bearing job of supporting the baby instead of your arms having to do the work. No more aching arm muscles. I'd highly recommend the Moby Wrap to any busy mother who wants to multi-task or give some relief to her arms when it's necessary to hold the baby for very long periods of time.
Easy on the back, not so easy to put on Януари 4, 2009 maryaleiss (Milwaukee, WI) 1 от 1 намериха ревюто за полезно
I researched several different slings and baby carriers right from the start, and I was very excited about the Moby wrap. It was the first sling I purchased. I'd like to share a few of my personal experiences that you want to keep in mind when making a sling purchase. Firstly, my newborn (from ~0-2/3 mos) just didn't seem to like being carried in the Moby. It held him too close to me, and while he liked to be close, he liked to be able to stick his head out and look around. Furthermore, while you are theoretically supposed to be able to use the Moby while breastfeeding, we could never quite get him comfortable enough. The sling seemed to mash his face into my breast, and he didn't have good enough control over his neck muscles to really actively push away or position himself. And lastly, a sling like this with a projectile vomiting baby is a very unpleasant experience. He would puke right into my shirt, and it was very difficult to clean up the spit up. I ended up purchasing a more traditional sling to carry him around in while he slept or while I was eating dinner. But mostly, I carried him around in my arms quite a bit for the first few months. Once he was able to hold his head up on his own (~2+ mos), I started using another generic baby carrier that my mother in law had purchased for me. I would put him in that whenever we went out (facing me). The other carrier had a good place to put a spit rag and it was very accessible. Access was still pretty difficult with the Moby. However, the baby carrier was somewhat hard on my back, and I had to get the straps exactly right so that I didnt end up with major back strain. This worked fine for another month or two until he was facing out, but as he got heavier, the carrier became harder on my back. I had completely stopped using the Moby by this time. When he was about 4 months old, a friend showed me how to use the Moby, and completely raved about it. She showed me how to put him in facing out, and I've used it pretty religiously since. I did require her assistance in getting the lines straight so that the fabric didn't bunch all over my clothing, but now I can put it on so that it is straight. Since my little vomit monster was now facing outwards, I could keep a spitrag right in front of him, so it was much easier! And, it is so much easier to wash than any of my other slings/carriers. Personally, I think it is still obnoxiously complicated to put on, and it is difficult to put him in and take him out. Up until winter hit, I was using this thing nearly every day for walks, dog park adventures, hiking, etc and I have YET to figure out how to successfully take him out and put him in without having to completely re-wrap myself. I also frequently experienced the wrap loosening up after long treks (~1 hr), so it would require re-assembly. Therefore, I am marking it down for the convenience factor. I also have to mark it down because my husband refuses to wear it because it is so complicated (and it gets sweaty after I wear it). Also, it is pretty bulky for a diaper bag when not in use. In summary, I think the Moby wrap was an absolutely great purchase. It is GREAT on my back (I don't experience ANY back strain with this device, even at 10 mos/25 lbs!), and I definitely think my son is more comfortable in this one that a standard carrier. I definitely will attest to the fact that baby wearing (made easy by a good baby carrier) helps you get right back to your pre-pregnancy body in no time! For any of the aforementioned problems, I think this device definitely makes up for the fact that it is so easy to get a good fit, and baby's weight is so well distributed. My summary of my cons: I was not able to get the full versatility during the early infancy stages because of my son's carrying preferences as well as his excessive vomiting. It is a little complicated and definitely time-consuming to put on, and it is also difficult to put him in and take him out it. The sling itself is pretty large, and it is rather bulky to carry around.
Perfect for a newborn Декември 2, 2008 B. Lyles 2 от 2 намериха ревюто за полезно
Using this product was the only chance I had to have both hands in the first 6 weeks of my son's life. He can breastfeed in it and loves sleeping in it while I run around the house. Now he is 8 weeks old and is getting a bit more mobile, so I will probably need to try new wrap styles.

My son really liked this as a newborn and I liked how it didn't kill my back like all the other carriers did. It can be a little difficult to put on and I often have trouble getting it tight enough but overall I think it's great. My baby is four months now and doesn't seem to like it much anymore but that could just be him.
So comfy for mom and baby! Август 25, 2008 Monique A. Mugg (West Olive, MI) 1 от 1 намериха ревюто за полезно
I love this carrier! I used a Baby Bjorn for my other children and purchased another for my new baby, but I wanted a Moby Wrap also. I never use the Baby Bjorn anymore, my son is 8 months old and since he was about 6 months old (about 18lbs.) the Baby Bjorn has caused back strain. The Moby has caused no back strain and my son is quite at ease in it. He does not like sitting in shopping carts so in order to get my grocery shopping done I put him in the Moby and he is quite content and often falls asleep in it. I also use the Moby to go on walks, since carrying an extra 20lbs. around is great exercise! Coffee got spilled on my instructions so I went to the Moby website and followed the instructions there, but now I do not need them and I can put the carrier on as fast as the Baby Bjorn, it is really not difficult. I love the soft fabric and definitely recommend this carrier!!
