Baby BjA rn Safe Step Stool has a skid-free rubber top that keep little feet in place. The rubber top is molded on to the base to prevent from separation. I don't think the designers of this stool had a good grasp of the physics behind getting knocked over. The larger footprint you can make the harder it is to get knocked over (think trees roots). The base of this Bjorn stool is too narrow, such that if my son stands right on the edge it will topple over.
I compared this stool side-by-side with our other stool (a older baby trend model) and you can see the difference in size of the base. When I push down on the edge of the baby trend stool, nothing happens. When I gently push on the edge of the Bjorn step, it flips! Unfortunately, amazon doesn't sell the baby trend one and I can't find it online elsewhere, otherwise I would recommend that one instead.

This step stool worked great on my tile bathroom floor. I had young guest at the holidays--ages 8, 5 , and 3. Sometimes the floor got wet but the safe step did not slip....

This is a really nice step, but better for older children. My daughter is 2 1/2 and she has a tough time reaching the faucet with this stool.

I bought this stool for my daughter after breaking her last one sitting on it while giving her a bath. After seriously reviewing my eating habits and seeing a Baby Bjorn stool at a friend's house I got one and we LOVE IT. (My Friend is heavier than me and uses her stool to stand on in the Kitchen as well as intending to use it for her son in the bathroom).
I use it for bathtime and bedtime routines for my almost 3 yr old and the best thing of all is that it fits over the side of the tub when not in use-our bathroom is VERY small. Also, I emailed the company about a weight limit-didn't want to take any chances ;-) and received a response the same day.
I feel sure this stool will outlast my daughter's need to reach the sink/toilet and I'll use it well into the future. I don't think I can say enough about this stool. It's a bit more than one you'd get in a discount store but I feel it is More than worth it!

The step is generally OK and sturdy. So I would recommend it if you look for something lower. The description said 13 x 11.5 x 8 inches. We assumed that it is at least 8 inches high based on that which would be OK for our toddler. However, we were very disappointed when we unwrapped it and it was 13 x 9.5 at the base and ONLY 6 inches high. It doesn't make sense to send it back so we will keep it until our son grows taller. Will need to look for something higher for now.
